Have A Save A Life Sponsorship Challenge FAQ's
How much does the Deposit A Gift Service Cost?
We wish the entire donation process could be free but unfortunately due to the cost of accepting credit cards and maintaining the site, we do need to charge for processing gifts.
Our service fee is always a flat 7.5% of the total gift purchase balance. There are absolutely no extra costs. No taxes. No gift wrapping costs. No shipping charges. No withdrawal fees.
What methods of payment does EHH accept?
We accept: American Express, Visa, MasterCard and Discover cards. All gift prices and account balances are represented in US dollars.
Where does the money go when I purchase an EKG Gift?
As soon as the gift-giver’s credit card is charged, the money is deposited into a special account at the FDIC insured TD Bank (www.tdbank.com).
Is my credit card information secure when I purchase an EKG Gift?
Security is our top priority. We don’t keep any credit card data, so if gift purchases are made on more than one occasion, the gift-giver will need to re-enter it. We think those extra few moments are well worth it for your peace of mind.
To get specific, our site uses industry standard 128-bit SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) to ensure that gift-giver sensitive data (ie. credit card number, name, address, etc.) is transmitted securely during every transaction. SSL encrypts the data before it is transmitted so that it can never be read. We work with industry leader Verisign for the highest level of encryption that is available.
The key to knowing that a gift-giver's credit card information is being transmitted in a secure fashion is after you have clicked the "Place Order" button:
•The URL area turns green
•A lock symbol appears in the URL line
•The address changes to begin with "https"
Is my personal information safe?
We’re sticklers about this. We never share or sell any of the personal information of our gift-givers...But don't be surprised if we send you a "Thank You" card.

Basic EKG Testing FAQ's
What is an EKG?
An EKG – or electrocardiogram - is a harmless and pain-free test that records the rhythm of your heart.
What can an EKG show?
An EKG will show both your regular and irregular heartbeats. It can detect problems that you may have with your heart rhythym and can help doctors determine if your heart carries any of the following conditions:
•rapid heart beat
•abnormally decreased heart beat
•irregular pumping of the heart
•abnormal heart muscle size
•heart birth defects
•the presence of heart disease located in the heart valves
•heart attack (past or present)
How long does an EKG test take?
The EKG test will only take a few minutes and is painless.
What is the procedure for an EKG test?
An EKG test is a non-invasive procedure that consists of applying small sticky patches (called electrodes) to your arms, legs and chest. These electrodes are connected to an EKG recording machine, which picks up the electrical signals that make your heart beat.
Who should undergo an EKG test?
Every person that participates in physical activity should undergo an EKG test. Far too often, these heart conditions are not recognized until it’s too late. When no symptoms are visible, doctors typically only order EKG tests for patients that have a family history of heart disease in their immediate family. This type of heart testing is not required to pass a high-level athletic physical by most schools, teams and organizations.
